The Perfect Match: Frères Marchand & Baron Edmond de Rothschild Dinner

When one of the oldest families in cheese mongering in France comes together with one of the most respected families in winemaking for an evening, it is nothing short of the perfect match. In an evening hosted by Harbour Grand Kowloon at Harbour Grill, Frères Marchand presents a selection of its finest cheese paired with a selection of the finest wines from the prestigious Baron Edmond de Rothschild for a five-course dinner created by our Executive Chef, Marc Toutain. The dinner will take place on Friday, April 12, 2013 and is priced at HK$1,088 plus 10% service charge per person. Advanced reservations required.

Introducing the cheese for the evening will be Philippe Marchand, Master Cheese Affineur and one of the Frères Marchand while Florent Mougin, Brand Ambassador, Companie Vinicole Baron Edmond de Rothschild will be introducing the wines for the evening.

On Saturday, April 13, 2013 a rare opportunity to sit with Philippe Marchand will take place in an exclusive cheese master class. The class will be from 11:00am – 12:30pm and will cost HK$150 plus 10% service charge per person. 40 places are available for the class and advanced reservations are required. About Les Frères Marchand

Four generations have contributed to the legacy that is today, Les Frères Marchand. Three brothers make up Les Frères; Philippe, Patrice and Eric. Philippe, carries the baton for the family’s long tradition in cheese conditioning. Not only does he handle some the world’s finest cheeses but he is the heir to ancestral cheese recipes as the stuffed Brie and the savvy creator of modern cheeses such as the fresh wasabi-flavoured goat’s cheese.
