If you are feeling a bit blue now that a whole season of festivities has ended – hold that tear. There’s nothing as indulgent as ‘hoi mei’ when it comes to traditional Chinese dishes. The feature this month, try: Braised mushrooms, dried oysters , sea cucumbers, goose webs and sea moss in casserole, Steamed shrimp paste with bird’s nest and Sauteed shredded porks and fish maws with XO chili sauce.
