Nagomi Japanese Restaurant Unveiled
Nagomi, Harbour Grand Hong Kong’s Japanese Restaurant, is on stage now.
Located on the ground floor of Harbour Grand Hong Kong, this long-awaited restaurant hides itself on the right of the modern ergonomic-designed lobby. Set in a secluded Zen garden setting, Nagomi has a capacity of 15 seats, aiming at offering the privacy and tranquility that guests delight. It is a perfect place for private function with families and friends.
Chef Taisuke Sato, the commander-in-chief of the restaurant, is a seasoned and talented Japanese chef. Creative and studious, Chef Sato has learnt to speak fluent Cantonese in the past 30 years staying in Hong Kong, thus building an excellent relationship with guests.
Quality, fresh ingredients are the heart of Nagomi experience. The menu offers authentic Japanese cuisines that are all instantly prepared, featuring different seafood according to the season. Three different sets of Omakase, naming Nagomi Set, Oyakata Set and Hanaita Set, are specially designed by Chef Sato.
While sitting in front of the sushi bar, guests can see how our experienced chefs catch live fish from our fish tank and turning them into sushi and sashimi perfectly. For those who prefer hot dishes, a small selection of light crispy tempura is offered, including but not limited to shrimp and fresh scallop. More than 15 types of Kushiyakimono can be other options, which are succulent without being greasy. If guests are looking for desserts, Nagomi offers the only but heavenly dessert – Shizuoka Japanese melon flown in from Japan. The sweetness and freshness of this fruit are sure to allure gourmets’ taste buds.
In November and December, Chef Sato has specially prepared three promotional dishes for his guests. Foie Gras Temari Sushi is in the shape of a ball symbolizing the memorable childhoods of Japanese and recalls their precious good old days having fun with ball games. The taste of foie gras blends with temari sushi, and the result, together with the valuable memory, is unexpectedly favourable. Roasted Cod Fish and Seaweed Roll presents the sweetness of roasted cod fish brought by the taste of miso from Nishinokyo. Oyster Miso Soup allows guests to savour the freshness of Japanese vegetable, syungiku, as well as the oyster in the soup.
A Japanese meal is never completed without a sip of sake. At Nagomi, guests can choose from various types of sake that are made in different regions of Japan, including Kikuhime daigin kukurihime, Dassai 23% Polishing Centrifugal Separator Junmaidaiginjo, Mu no kokora Duiginjo and Sakagura no uta Ginjo, to name a few.
Nagomi, provides a feast for the eyes and the palate.
